Earthquake damage repair including recladding

 

Repair and renovation of a 4-level architectural home in Christchurch. The property had very restricted access and required the installation of rock anchors to tie the dwelling to the hill/cliff edge, installation of deep ground piles connecting to the anchors, tying of 9m deep stepped retaining walls to the piles and anchors and winching the 3-level home from 100mm out of plumb to sit plumb and tie same to retaining wall/pile/anchor system.
The scope also included removal of the direct fixed wall cladding, roof covering and single gazed joinery and installation of new wall cladding incorporating a cavity system with new cedar double glazed external joinery and roof covering.
